I am a second-generation immigrant settler with roots in Hong Kong, a place shaped by its intertwined histories of colonization and the perseverance of its people and culture. This background informs my ongoing commitment to learning, unlearning, and practicing in ways that honour the communities whose lands I live and work on. I’m grateful to call Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton) home, located in Treaty 6 territory and the homelands of Métis Region 4, including the Nehiyawak (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinaabe (Saulteaux), and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) peoples.
